Fred Sultan serves as Special Counsel at Foley & Lardner LLP, where he helps individuals and businesses throughout Texas and the United States with commercial litigation and appeals involving a broad range of business disputes, including employment, contract, business tort and trade secret-related claims. Fred’s experience includes representation in construction litigation, probate, real property, judgment collection, intellectual property litigation, and securities litigation and arbitration. Clients comprising a wide variety of industries and privately-held corporations turn to Fred, including technology, health care, manufacturing, energy and natural resources, oil and gas, financial institutions, hospitality venues, restaurants, hotels, bars, liquor sales and retailers.
In addition to his general commercial litigation experience, Fred is a recognized employment law attorney working in discrimination, sexual harassment and wrongful discharge litigation. He also reviews and negotiates employment contracts, represents employers before administrative agencies, and offers day-to-day advice to officers, managers and general counsel about personnel issues.
Fred is passionate about getting involved in his community, and serves many organizations on the local, state, and national levels, including as Director of the AIDS Services of Austin and volunteering as an attorney with Legal Services of Central Texas. He received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, with honors, and was admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court in 2008.
