Diversity and inclusion are topics of critical importance to virtually every firm, company, agency and organization in the legal profession. Yet despite the immense effort and attention paid to the concept of D&I, the legal profession continues to see under-representation of LGBTQ people, women, and people of color in nearly every sector, particularly at the partner/senior levels in firms. This panel of experts will discuss proven tactics for retaining talented diverse attorneys in firms and “interrupting bias,” including through reimagination of origination credit, and how GCs can leverage their power to encourage firms to provide meaningful advancement opportunities to diverse junior attorneys that will lead to better outcomes in promotion and retention opportunity.
