Recognizing the diverse experiences of bi+-identified people, this session will include: a foundational overview of what it means to be bi-identified or to embrace a non-binary sexual orientation; a discussion of the diverse real life experiences and related legal needs of bi+ identified people in a number of practice areas focusing in particular on family formation and relationship recognition; and a presentation of diversity and inclusion-informed best practices for both bench and bar to ensure access to justice and procedural fairness for bi+-identified litigants/clients specifically and LGBTQ+ people overall.
