LGBT Family Law Institute Regional Meeting: Houston
Please note: There is a mandatory $75 registration fee required to attend the Houston Regional Meeting.
The LGBT Family Law Institute will host a regional meeting on April 1, 2017 in Houston.
The meeting is open for all to apply. However, a certain portion of the 40 available seats will be held for people who live in Texas or surrounding states.
The purpose of the meeting is for participants to develop and share strategies for protecting LGBT individuals and families. Attendees will be able to network and discuss ways to make our advocacy more effective.
Like all FLI meetings, this meeting will be off the record and closed door in order to promote free expression of ideas and issues. Meetings are interactive and participant driven. There are no speakers, no written material and no continuing legal education credits.
To guarantee that the discourse remains at a high level, and to ensure that all participants are able to contribute meaningfully to the conversation, interested parties must submit an application.
Applicants will be selected based on their experience with LGBT family creation, protection and dissolution, in accordance with the FLI Mission Statement. Applicants should have familiarity with these issues and may be asked to provide evidence describing their familiarity with LGBT family law. Please click here to read the full FLI mission statement.
