Melissa Kliemann

Melissa Kliemann is a 2L at Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, MI, where she is President of the Wayne OUTlaws and a board member of the Wayne Chapter of Law Students for Reproductive Justice. She is also an Associate Editor on The Journal of Law in Society. She currently serves as a Student Attorney for the Washtenaw County Office of Public Defender, working with indigent adult clients in criminal matters and juvenile clients in abuse and neglect cases. She was a summer 2013 recipient of Wayne’s Public Interest Law Fellowship for her position there. Melissa graduated from Central Michigan University in 2009 with a B.S. in Psychology and English. When she isn’t studying law, Melissa enjoys writing, composing music and singing, cooking, learning Japanese, and contemplating just how exactly Harry got stuck in that contract with the Goblet of Fire when there was clearly zero consideration.   Contact the Midwest Region I Chair
