Laura Diven

Laura Diven is a 3L at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. Before law school, Laura graduated with a degree in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.  The summer before law school, Laura worked at Lambda Legal. At Loyola, Laura serves as the Alumni Chair for both OutLaw and the Public Interest Law Foundation. During law school, Laura worked at the California Courts of Appeal and the California Attorney General. Laura currently works at the newly formed Los Angeles HIV Law and Policy Project, a program which coordinates the resources of legal aid organizations and pro bono attorneys to serve the legal needs of those living with HIV and AIDS in Los Angeles County. In addition to the Law Student Congress, Laura also serves on the Lesbian and Gay Lawyer Association of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Diversity in the Profession Committee. A lifelong activist and advocate, Laura is an active volunteer in the areas of LGBT rights, domestic violence prevention, and homelessness prevention. Laura is proud to increase the visibility of bisexual women on the Law Student Congress. Laura happily lives with her partner and two dogs in Mt.
