Scottie Shermetaro is a second-year law student at the University of Virginia School of Law. He graduated magna cum laude from Oakland University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and minors in Economics and Spanish. Scottie spent three summers with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles during undergrad and passed the Patent Bar before moving to Virginia for law school.
Currently, he is the Chair of the UVA Lambda Law Alliance, as well as a Peer Advisor for the Class of 2019. Scottie is also on the Editorial Board for the Virginia Law Review. He is a recipient of the Kirkland & Ellis LLP Diversity Fellowship and will be working for Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago, Illinois this summer. Contact the Southern II Chair.
