Wynn Tashman is dual degree JD, and Ph.D. student, studying the intersection of law and educational psychology. Wynn is a passionate advocate for LGBT youth, among other underrepresented demographics. His research focus is on the public interest spectrum, involving the implementation of educational interventions to address the unmet legal needs of these youth.
Wynn serves his community in a professional capacity as the coordinator of Kids’ Court School, a legal clinic offered free to children in the age range of 4 – 17, who are pending participation in court as witnesses. The program is designed to educate about the courtroom process, and to teach stress coping techniques proven to reduce children’s anxieties about the traumatic process. He also serves as the President of the Child Advocacy Law Association, and as VP of Community Involvement for the Public Interest Law Association.
Wynn identifies as ‘relentlessly gay!’ He loves to attend drag shows, LGBT fundraisers, PRIDE bingo, and open microphone poetry nights, among other LGBT-themed out and proud events. He is super excited to serve as your Southern Region II Chair. If you’re ever in Vegas, please feel free to reach out through emails, phone calls, or perhaps chats over coffee or tea.
